Over the past year, UpstreamPgh has been planning a stream restoration, rain gardens, and clean water policy in the Nine Mile Run watershed, which includes Wilkinsburg, East Hills, Homewood, Edgewood, Point Breeze, and Swissvale. We’re working to address inequities and stormwater challenges to make these neighborhoods a model for environmental justice – and you can help us bring these projects to life! Learn about plans for your neighborhood and how you can help shape them. We will have food, Bingo and games, and a community art project led by Wilkinsburg-artist Darya Kharabi. Plus, build your own bouquet, and a raffle!
