Trashy Hour Cleanup: Oakwood and Batavia Streets
UpstreamPgh recently completed Ripple: Environmental Justice Watershed Plan. As part of our community outreach efforts, we learned that trash and illegal dumping is a top environmental concern for neighbors in the Nine Mile Run Watershed. We’re leading “trashy hours” to pick up trash while also exploring waste prevention strategies, distributing info about places that take hard-to-dispose of items like tires, and bringing together neighbors.
We will meet on Batavia Street in Homewood/East Hills Pittsburgh, and we will provide gloves, trash grabbers, bags and a water jug. Bring yourself and a water bottle!
