Spring Stream Sweep

It’s that time again! The winter snow and rain has washed the usual trash and debris from the upper watershed communities into Nine Mile Run. Join us this Earth Day (!), as we celebrate our natural world and only home through service to our waterways!

This is a volunteer event and attendance is free.

We will provide gloves, safety vests, & trash bags. Some trash grabbers will be available, but are first come, first serve. Please wear long pants & sturdy boots or closed-toe shoes. If you have tall rain boots, hip boots, or waders, please bring them so we can provide ours to those who do not. Participants should expect to get muddy and possibly wet, so please plan your attire accordingly.

Please note: While we love our furry friends over at UpstreamPgh, we kindly ask that you do not bring your pup(s) along with you to this event.

Afterwards, we will go celebrate Earth Day with other orgs out and about, including Tree Pittsburgh and Regent Square Civic Association at 3ROC. We hope to see you there!
