Fall 2023 Stream Sweep

Leaves are beginning to descend into the stream again, which can only mean one thing…
It’s Fall Stream Sweep season!

Come help us keep the Nine Mile Run Restoration Area as trash-free as possible as we descend en-masse into the stream to pick it clean of litter! We will provide gloves, safety vests, and trash bags. Some trash grabbers will be available, but are first come, first serve. Please wear long pants & sturdy boots or closed-toe shoes. If you have tall rain boots, hip boots, or waders, please bring them so we can provide ours to those who do not. Participants should expect to get muddy and possibly wet, so please plan your attire accordingly.

Please note: While we love our furry friends over at UpstreamPgh, we kindly ask that you do not bring your pets along with you to this event.

Thanks to our wonderful partners 3 Rivers Outdoor Company and Brew Gentlemen, a same-day voucher for a free beer and 10% off one full-priced item at 3RoC will be available to volunteers at the conclusion of the event! 

This is a volunteer event and attendance is free.
