Ripple Open House

Join us for an open house to learn about what green infrastructure we’re cooking up for our community!

Over the last several months, UpstreamPgh has been working on Ripple — a new plan for the Nine Mile Run Watershed, which includes Wilkinsburg, and parts of East Hills, Homewood, Point Breeze, Edgewood, Squirrel Hill and Swissvale (all the land that funnels stormwater into the Nine Mile Run stream). The plan outlines places to build new rain gardens and identifies new ordinances and policies that would create a healthier environment.

We’ve heard from hundreds of residents and experts across the watershed and we’re excited to share what we’ve learned. You are welcome to drop by anytime between 5:30pm and 7:30pm, however we will be giving a brief presentation at 6pm.

This event will include light refreshments. Child care can be provided if you request it on the registration form. If you require additional accommodations, please list those on the form or contact Erica Jackson at erica@upstreampgh.org or 412-371-8779 ext 116.

This event will take place at Imani Christian Academy, which is along the 79 – East Hills bus route.

It’s not too late to make your voice heard! Fill out our Ripple public survey to share your priorities for the watershed.
