Community Visioning Walk
UpstreamPgh recently received a grant from the Commonwealth Financing Authority to engage the greater East End community in a multi-year visioning endeavor for the Fern Hollow Valley. The end goal of this process is to have plans for 3-5 ecological and art-based interventions throughout the Valley that will enable us to seek funding for these improvements to be installed.
Throughout this process, we will be hosting Community Visioning Walks within the proposed restoration area in Frick Park to allow the community to imagine their ideal space and give us their feedback for us to incorporate into our planning.
We are excited to announce that Representative Dan Frankel of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives will be participating in our walk on April 16th. Representative Frankel is a Squirrel Hill resident and lifelong lover of Frick Park. He is excited to hear from you, his constituents, about the future you envision for this amazing public space.
Join us and be a part of shaping this reinvigorated part of the Tranquil Trail!
The trail may be wet and/or muddy, so please plan your attire accordingly.
