Restore Fern Hollow Public Comment Webinar

Attention Regent Square residents and Frick Park supporters! We are looking for public input on the Fern Hollow Creek Water Resources Plan! This plan will improve the overall health of Fern Hollow Creek, a small Frick Park stream that is struggling with the pressures of city living: aging sewage infrastructure, invasive species, and polluted runoff.

This is the plan we’ve been working on since the Fern Hollow bridge collapsed in 2022, and it includes the feedback we gathered from the public through our survey and community events, which you can read about here.

Through our outreach so far, we’ve heard about the need for bathrooms near Tranquil Trail and the desire to maintain the natural feel of Fern Hollow. The plan includes those elements, in addition to the more technical ways we can help the stream. Part of that work begins in Regent Square, where rainwater that should feed Fern Hollow is directed into our combined storm-sewer system.

Join us for an online webinar with experts from UpstreamPgh and Ethos Collaborative to break it down! Following our presentation, you can offer feedback and ask questions, which we’ll use to finalize the plan.

If you’d like to see these areas in person, join us for a walk on March 10th, at 5:30pm.

The event is finished.
