Season Kickoff! Community Workday – Frick Park

Join UpstreamPgh for the first workday of the year! We’ll be heading into Frick Park to remove some invasive shrubs! We’ll be working along the Nine Mile Run stream. Plan to wear clothing suitable for mild weather, might be chilly, might be warm, definitely will be muddy. Learn to identify invasive plants like amur honeysuckle, privet, multiflora rose, garlic mustard, and more!

We’ll meet at the Lower Frick Park Play Area parking lot at the white UpstreamPgh pickup truck. We’ll get gloves and tools and head out to remove invasives! New volunteers are welcome, no prior experience necessary.
