Nine Mile Run Tours
To create greater appreciation for Frick Park, and Nine Mile Run stream, we provide educational guided tours of the Nine Mile Run Urban Stream Restoration area in Lower Frick Park. From young children to long-time residents, we see a range of age groups in these visits, so we adapt tours frequently to keep them interesting. Past topics have included the history of the restoration, invasive plant identification, birds and wildlife, and wetlands. As a result, our community has a better understanding of what it takes to ecologically restore and maintain a public space.
