Community Outreach

We are committed to help our community feel empowered to take action by being well informed about the environmental issues that affect daily life. We host educational community events throughout the year, providing valuable insights on topics like healthy ecosystems, green stormwater solutions and water quality. Our events include biannual Stream Sweeps, quarterly Water Talks, presentations to classes and community groups, and service-learning excursions throughout the watershed.

As a diverse region, we work with community partners to identify the best topics and methods of engagement, so our programming is continually evolving. Recent changes include family-friendly on-demand programming, such as virtual story time, and other distanced webinars on topics ranging from gardening for birds to the spotted lanternfly.
