Summer Stream Sweep 2023

A stream sweep? In summer?!
It’s more likely than you think!

That’s right, summer stream sweeps are back!

Come help us keep the Nine Mile Run Restoration Area as trash-free as possible as we descend en-masse into the stream to pick it clean of litter! We will provide gloves, safety vests, and trash bags. Some trash grabbers will be available, but are first come, first serve. Please wear long pants & sturdy boots or closed-toe shoes. If you have tall rain boots, hip boots, or waders, please bring them so we can provide ours to those who do not. Participants should expect to get muddy and possibly wet, so please plan your attire accordingly. 

Afterwards, celebrate a morning of hard work and join us at 3 Rivers Outdoor Company for a good chill hang.

Please note: While we love our furry friends over at UpstreamPgh, we kindly ask that you do not bring your pets along with you to this event.

This is a volunteer event and attendance is free.
