Solar Eclipse Watch
We’ll be hanging out at the Frick Environmental Center with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy on April 8th to catch the solar eclipse – come watch with us!
This rare event occurs when the moon completely blocks the sun’s face. Pittsburgh is just south of the path of totality, so we’ll have a partial eclipse, with some amount of sky darkening. The eclipse starts at 2pm and reaches its maximum point at 3:17pm, ending at 4:30pm. Learn more from NASA.
Please note it is not safe to look directly at the sun without specialized eye protection for solar viewing.
We’re excited to experience this special celestial event with you! No registration is required.
