Pop-Up Stream Sweep!

Did you know that August is National Water Quality Month?

We are working every day to improve water quality in Nine Mile Run, but unfortunately the many major storm events we’ve had this summer have left a distressing quantity of trash from the upper watershed communities in and along the stream.  Big thanks to 3 Rivers Outdoor Company for co-sponsoring an end of summer clean-up!  Join us on Friday, August 27th, anytime between 3 and 7 pm, to help. Look for UpstreamPgh at the soccer field in Lower Frick Park – we’ll have all the supplies you need. Then, when you finish, you can pick up your $10 gift card, a t-shirt, and a free beer (for those 21+) at 3ROC in Regent Square.  And thanks in advance for doing your part to keep the NMR stream restoration area beautiful!
