Data Analysis and Storytelling Workshop Series
Join us for 2 workshops where we use locally collected environmental data to collectively craft stories that can advocate for change. This is a research project examining how data storytelling can be used for advocacy. Over the course of two 2-hour workshops, we will analyze data collected by local citizen scientists as part of a research project using low cost sensors to monitor air quality and other metrics in the Nine Mile Run Watershed and use it to tell the stories that are important to residents. We will work in small groups to connect local issues to more complex issues on different scales. No prior experience is necessary. Attendees must commit to attending both workshops.
Attendees will receive $15/hour for participating in the workshops. Participants must attend both workshops to receive the compensation. Light Refreshments will be provided.
These workshops will take place on:
- Tuesday, April 19, 2022: 6PM-8PM
- Tuesday, April 26, 2022: 6PM-8PM
